PRESS RELEASE – 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain
Trochilics, the holding company of Coborn Engineering Co. Ltd, has been identified in London Stock Exchange's '1000 Companies to Inspire Britain' report 2015.
Trochilics has been identified as one of London Stock Exchange's 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain. The report is a celebration of the UK's fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium sized businesses.
To be included in the list, Trochilics needed to show consistent revenue growth over a minimum of three years, significantly outperforming its industry peers. More detail on the methodology can be found in the report online at www.1000companies.com.
Steve Westlake, Managing Director of Trochilics commented: "This is further recognition of our growth over the last few years and is a result of all the employees' contribution to the Coborn and Trochilics business"
Xavier Rolet, Chief Executive, London Stock Exchange Group said: "This report is a significant part of London Stock Exchange's broader campaign to support UK high growth companies in their journeys from Start-up to Stardom and to create an entrepreneurship revolution. I'm delighted that a strong alliance between UK Government, financial market participants, investors, entrepreneurs and companies has been created to support these inspiring businesses."
The Plimsoll Analysis
Precision Engineers, individually assesses the 1500 companies using the proven Plimsoll Model. The model highlights the latest performance of each company and separates those in trouble from those getting it right.
This Year COBORN ENGINEERING has been rated as "STRONG" in the new analysis of the UK's 1500 largest Precision Engineers. This is the highest accolade awarded and reflects excellent performance over the last 12 months.
What is more impressive is that this has been achieved in a difficult marketplace where 235 other engineering companies accessed were/are in financial danger and a record number are making a loss.
"Diamond Processing Machine Manufacturers commended for marvellous management"
Coborn Engineering, a Machine Builder heavily involved in the processing of Super Hard Materials for the last 6 decades based in Romford, England has been highly commended in the Outstanding Organisation category at the CMI National Management & Leadership Awards ceremony in central London. The prestigious annual Awards celebrate the achievements and expertise of the UK's best managers and management teams.
Coborn Engineering's success flies the flag for high quality management and leadership in the Diamond industry and the benefits it brings, setting a fantastic example for other organisations.
John Innocent said of the achievement: Having worked at Coborn for over 52 years, I cannot tell you how proud I am that the Management and Sub-Teams at Coborn have pushed us forward to new heights. This award shows continual development when many other companies in the Manufacturing sector are struggling. Our NML Outstanding Organisation 2013 Award follows our Havering Business Award in 2010, and Queens Award for Enterprise in 2012. We have also received commendation for our apprentice scheme, which has seen over 150 local residents join Coborn at 16, most not leaving until retirement, this commitment and loyalty is rewarded today "
Coborn were rewarded with this accolade, for their continual growth in foreign markets, whist the world trend has been a downturn in production during the global recession. It has been noted the highly successful Apprentice scheme, and the other awards bestowed on the company in recent years, as what made Coborn Engineering Outstanding in not just their fiels but UK industry as a whole..
The Awards judge organisations, teams and individual managers by looking at issues including financial success, governance, people management, communications, ethics, sustainability and learning. A total of nine CMI National Management & Leadership Awards were presented by CMI (the Chartered Management Institute) in categories including Outstanding Leader, Young Achiever and Social Responsibility.
CMI's Chief Executive, Ann Francke, said: "While the UK economy is showing signs of growth, there's still a long way to go.
