RG9: CNC Grinding Machine for PCD, PcBN     Application 1 - Helical tool In this application, the two flute cutter has PCD laid at a 6° helix. The 6.35mm diameter tool is ground to a ± 10 micron tolerance.         Application 2 - PcBN grooving tool with K-land The PcBN flanks and 2 radii are ground, then the tool is rotated vertically. The vision system checks the height of the PcBN table and this is used as the reference for the K-land generation. The complete tool is made in one set up.
