LD2 Series: Laser Cutting Machines for PCD

Application 1 - Cutting small PCD blanks from a mother disc
Cutting triangles is straight forward. Cutting was done at 90mm/min on this 1.6mm thick PCD. Note how the pieces stay interlocked together and that the cut can start in the middle of the disc.

Application 2 - Cutting profiles in carbido
The LD2 can be used to cut deep profiles in solid carbide plates for woodworking tools. Cutting speed on this 3.0mm thick carbide plate was 50mm/min.

Application 3 - Cutting blank PCD blanks with internal holes
Producing internal holes within PCD blanks in just as easy as cutting the external shape. The smallest hole achieved is 200um.
