Grinding Wheels – for PCD and PcBN Coborn, through its sister company Trochilics Ltd, offers 5 vitrified bond formulations with varying degrees of hardness and diamond concentration. One of these will suit your machine – it does not have to be a Coborn PCD grinder. These basic formulations are: OLIVE 2 – Bond hardness 100 & 75 concentration OLIVE 4V – Bond hardness 90 & 100 concentration OLIVE 2.5W – Bond hardness 60 & 125 concentration OLIVE 2.5Y – Bond hardness 70 & concentration 150 KILO – Bond hardness 55 & concentration 150 (100 concentration means 4.4cts of diamond in 1.0 cm3 of bond) The OLIVE 2.5W bond is a universal, general purpose bond recommended for manual machines; the KILO bond is designed to give very consistent results on CNC machines. Other bond formulations are available for ‘problem’ situations. Please contact us for advice. All our wheels are dynamically balanced.
