Coborn Engineering has over 30 years experience in the dynamic balancing of components.
Balancing is a highly specialized skill and requires a thorough understanding of the possible sources of error. Coborn is able to design and manufacture the necessary mandrels and supports needed to compensate for component to component or batch to batch variations in, for example, the bore concentricity and bore size of your product.
Advice is available on a consultancy basis where clients need a deeper understanding of balancing or help in understanding how unbalance can affect bearing life for example.
If companies wish to set up their own balancing facilities, Coborn can advise and/or supply a turn key facility.

STRENGTHS |
- Contract balancing of components from 50g to 60kg.
- Typical balancing tolerance to G6.3 or G2.5 under ISO 1940 specifications.
- If required, Coborn can balance to gyroscope tolerances of G1 or G0.4.
- Equipment used is sensitive to G0.1.
- Fixtures made on a case by case basis.
- Heavy or light position can be simply marked or balance corrected as required.
