AD1 – Angular Displacement Unit

The AD1 angular displacement unit is normally supplied as an optional accessory.  It is used to display the pivot angle on PCD grinding machines such as the RG5A or single crystal machines such as the PG3.

It can be retro-fitted to RG4, RG5A machines or fitted to new PG3 machines.

The unit displays the pivot angle (left or right) on an eight digit LCD from a selected datum point..

(Note: On more recent machines, which have a touch-screen such as the RG5B, with an optional pivot angle display can be also be fitted.  However, in these cases, the angle is shown on the touch-screen itself rather than on a stand alone unit).
 
 
 
 
THE STRENGTHS - AD1
  • Normally retro-fitted to PCD grinding machines such as the RG4, RG5A. Can also be fitted on new and older PG3/PG2 machines.

  • Allows rapid setting and measurement of tool angles.

  • Resolution is 1 minute of arc.

  • 8 digit display indicates angular displacement from selected datum point.

  • Decimal degrees or degree output.

  • Users reference datum point (usually 0 degrees) is permanently saved by internal battery.

  • No calibration needed if factory fitted.
